Patrick Murphy
Director of Resource Equity and Public Finance
Patrick Murphy is the Director of Resource Equity and Public Finance at the Opportunity Institute. His work seeks ways to improve the equity and efficiency of government finance systems, with an emphasis on taxes and budgeting. Previously, he was research director at the Public Policy Institute of California, taught at the University of San Francisco, and held other positions in philanthropy, research, and government.
Patrick completed a doctorate in political science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MPA at the University of Texas-Austin.
