The Opportunity Institute is pleased to share that education policy analyst Pamela Burdman will be a Fellow in our Postsecondary and Transitions to Work area. Pam’s work on improving college access, readiness, and success addresses key barriers to social mobility and equity. Her in-depth analyses of the evolving role of college math requirements as gatekeepers to higher education have helped advance policy discussions around ensuring that math can serve as a bridge, not a barrier, to opportunities for all students. Her current project, Quantitative Leap, highlights three key strategies for doing so, including through a webinar series hosted by The Opportunity Institute in partnership with LearningWorks.
